Stopped at the local Goodwill looking for gently used baby stuff for the grandson. Spotted this.
It's a Silex one cup drip brewer. $1.99. Not the lever I was looking form but hey, for 2 bucks it's a win!

I like it!

I don't like it. Not the Silex dripper, but that now I will be forced to go to my two Goodwills looking for the 1 in 100 good find. Thanks for dangling that carrot in front of me.

Goodwills are awesome. I always find good cups. I'm a fan of smaller, diner-style cups. Now and then one'll have a good electric water boiler.
There's always something.

Nice find.
I try to stop any time I pass a Goodwill, but I've never had much luck when it comes to coffee paraphernalia. A friend of mine has 18 Chemex brewers that he had scored at various thrift stores, none of them costing more that $5. He said that they were usually located with flower vases as most people didn't know what they were. I've never had the much luck in finding one myself.

That would be hysterical finding a Chemex with flower pots. ;D
I still wouldn't buy it but it would make me laugh.

me too, I think it would be funnier to see where they put the cory rod filter. I remember the first time I saw that....;D
