Post by: rrreynolds on October 16, 2008, 10:54:03 AM
I just registered.  Is this the place one joins in order to receive a discount from Newco?

Right.

So how do I get the discount, order it from you or Newco?

I'm thinking about the OSC-12 by the way.

You get the discount by reading the information in the thread that's in Group Buys, and following it.

Hope you registered for more than to get a discount too.  Hang around a while.

Call 1-800-325-7867 talk to anyone in Customer service (JoAnne said we don't need to ask for her anymore) Make sure to mention you are a member of the Green coffee buying club. We get their best wholesale rate on the OCS and the rest of their products, but the prices have changed since we started on this.

Thanks everyone.

So - besides the discount on the Newco - I understand that people buy coffee here, I get that.  But is it as the name implies - Green coffee only.  Do I have to begin roasting?  Do you sell no roasted coffee?

Just curious.

There are many here who conduct their own coffee-roasting businesses, but the site is not specifically designed as an e-commerce outlet for roasted coffee.  You may as well start roasting your own!  We all started somewhere, and chances are whatever you roast will be better than what you'd buy locally.

Of course, if you want the best roasted coffee of any of the members, you'll PM me for further information.   8)

Did I hear someone say, "'08 GCBC Roast-Off" or was that my imagination?

Sounds interesting.  I'll let you know when I'm ready.

How about the 2008 election GCBC roast off?

And Mr rrreynolds, it often takes real work to understand peter's humor. But if you make the effort I promise that you will find it wasn't worth it. but these kind of efforts are character building and you will thank me when you get to peter's age.(http://www.pcinpact.com/images/smiles/phiphi.gif)

Sounds like NEWCO is out of the OCS-8 and OCS-12 makers until next year?  Anyone have one I can take off your hands?  :)
