This was a gold-plated Gaggia Classic that was given to me because it was totally beat up. The boiler bolts had to be drilled out and the aluminum boiler replaced, as was the OPV and pump. The chassis was badly rusted & scratched.
Since it was free and I had spare parts, I didn't want to toss it in the trash. I replaced the crapped out parts with new/old stock I had, and sent the chassis out for powder-coating - a medium blue metallic.
Precision Powder Coating of Spring, TX did the work for me. With tax it cost $112 to have it glass beaded and coated - a great price for the look it gives the Classic.

When I'm done it'll be PID'd (brew & steam control), have a Silvia steam wand, the steam valve will be modded so it can be disassembled for cleaning (no more leaky steam valve), and it'll have a bottomless portafilter. I may increase the boiler size for better temp stability. I'll update this thread as I reassemble the Classic.
