It's not real nifty, consistent, or quiet but that Melitta was my very first roaster.  I didn't last very long either - small batches required a lot of roasting.  I am grateful that it was good enough to show me how much better fresh roasted coffee could taste.  I've come a long way (baby) - I expect delivery of my Sonofresco next week!

The best thing about that roaster is the chaff catcher! It fit well on the extension stack of my Poppery Mark I. The rest of it... well it's a bean baker.

Agreed about the metal chaff collector - it will live on with many poppers.

As for the roasting - using my Kill-A-Watt I found a 121 watt circuit that never dropped below 119.5 while roasting - These do not taste baked...
