Aaron's April Don't be a Fool and Miss These Announcement
« on: March 31, 2026, 06:48:28 AM »
Hello GCBC Members:

It's been quite a while since I got one of these sent out so lets see here,

Healthwise,  Im still alive but have issues with my arm, neck, and other crap which is slowing me down a bit.  I got a friend who is helping me box coffee's up so I can get them out in a more timely manner.  I'll be shipping at a minimum once a week, more often as I am able to.

Shipping - Is kind of a Sh***show at times, but we're keeping up with it.  So far, ive been able to keep my prices the same but it gets challenging sometimes.  UPS customer service is in the sh^tter now and packages are running a lot slower than they used to be.  I keep getting my 'fees' changed almost daily it seems.  They'll quote a price, then 2 weeks later you'll see they try to add a fuel fee or some other BS to the order, then it's back on the phone, reminding them of our CONTRACT and to leave my account alone, then waiting for the refund check.  (sometimes these 'adjustments' are several hundreds of dollars)    With the current state of the world, shipping is even more volatile, however i'll do my best to alert you if changes are pending, but I promise you this.  I WILL NEVER CHANGE A PRICE ON YOU AFTER YOUR COFFEE IS SHIPPED!!

If you get an e mail, or message or anything from UPS / PooPal / pretending to be GCBC or anything asking for more money, DO NOT PAY IT !!  It is probably a scammer.  If i ever need more money from you, it'll always be requested-sent via pay pal, or a DM from here after a discussion with you.  Just know that with AI now, the scam ***ts are getting better at their thievery and you should always be cautious with EVERY transaction you make, anywhere in the world.

Shipping -  Paypal was not always sending messages out, and some of you have me blocked, so what i have started doing is, when a package is shipped, ill post it with your initials, and your tracking number for you to see the status on it on the website in the current offerings section under it's own thread located HERE:
https://www.greencoffeebuyingclub.com/index.php?topic=22674.0

Here you can see if your package is sent out yet OR if there are issues with your order.  If there are issues, please DM me and we can handle them, do NOT post personal info into the public forum please.  This is just for your own protection.
anyways...

so let's move on to some coffee related news here...

First News:

Boo's

Yes it's getting that time of the year when hopefully we can get some booberry floating in.  Currently, there is no official words on any boo's on the horizon.  We are still waiting for pre shipment samples to see what's potentially out there.  Rest assured though, that I am on numerous people's speed dial so that if ANYthing that looks like it might be a decent boo, i'll be getting a call first before most anyone else.

In the mean time, I got plenty of Colombians, and other origins that are very fruity, some of them, yah, unusual for origin but still, very tasty coffee.
I am getting ready to put out a Bali Kintanami here that is just insane peachy on it.  Im also looking for other fruit bombs to hit you with, and the Royal Reserva for the Cherry / Strawberry bombs you like too.  Last one was lemongrassy, so got passed over.

Bubba's basement is going to be opening up here too for some spring cleaning.  i'll be offering 10 lb snack packs here,  you got a box, 10 ish lbs of coffee, give or take a pound for a low price.  First one to pay gets it, so don't wait for e mails saying it's in, there won't be any, keep checking the bubba's basement thread for new posts!

REMEMBER:  Sometimes it can take a while for e-mails to reach you, we have over 2000 members now, so it takes some time for the server to spit the mails out.  We have to throttle them so we don't get dinged for spamming.  With that, popular coffees can move VERY FAST so if you see something you like, don't wait too long as we found out with the Guat, it go boom out the warehouse too !!

So how do you make sure you get the coffee's while they are HOT !!  ???

Your best bet will always be to ALWAYS CHECK THE FORUM. Don't wait for an e-mail that may or may not make it to you.  New offerings are always posted in the forum and will appear there way before any e mails may hit you.  If you are using G mail, they are playing with their filters again, so you might find that you have to re white list this address  to not get slorped up into the spam trap.

Second News:   I have some decent DECAF listed here. It's been a while and I apologize for that but we got them back in and ill try to keep the inventory stocked a little better with them, and try to have multiple origins.

Third News:
As we are all seeing, the prices are going up on stuff, some of it A LOT !!
I am doing what I can do, to keep the prices down, but the volatility in the coffee market in general is really awful.  I've seen prices of a general run of the mill coffee shoot up over a dollar in a matter of a day in a half.  Im talking $ 6- 7 lb coffee NOT some 40 dollar a pound pooftie drink where you expect that kind of thing!!  Stuff that was a staple like the 15 brazil or Robusta is through the roof too now.  4 dollar a pound Robusta is just insane.. but that's the world we are currently in right now.

I know it suxx when you get a Sulawesi for 6 / lb and two months later its 7.80/lb for the same friggin crop!!  Things that I know will sell, just maybe not sell super fast, ill stock up on a few bags here and there when I can to help offset this a bit, but there's only so much I can do.

Finally, as always, if you have any Questions, Suggestions, Comments, etc,  PLEASE post them in the Forum !!

Now, lets get onto the Beans !!

Thank you

Aaron

Ongoing Staples:
These offerings are about sold out and generally are no longer available once they are gone.

==========
India - Robusta

A light essence of Burning Innertubes with a waft of dead skunk in the aftermath, (it was nesting in the tire you burnt)
No - but seriously, it's Robusta, NOT known for flavor profiles really, it's to Boost the STRENGTH of your coffee.
To be honest, I try to pick better Robusta's that are a bit smoother on the palate and not so harsh to the taste buds, but well.
it's Robusta

Full Cupping notes are here:
Imagine it's yummy!

==========
Brazil General Utility

This is STILL a specialty grade coffee, but at the lower end.  It's very good flavor, very drinkable, still Light Years ahead of big Blue, big Red or Charbuxxx, but is typically rather one dimensional.  It's a great general use coffee, and excellent for seasoning in new roasters etc.  You got volunteered ...again...to provide the coffee for XXX club, this fits the bill nicely, most if not all of them will love it, and it won't cost you 7 dollars a pound either.  (Hate giving Don Perignon to wino's?  THIS one does it!)

This batch, actually is a bit Chocolatier in it's flavor so again, is not bad really, just not esquisite as we generally tend to go for here.

Full Cupping notes are here:
It's got some Chocolaty notes to it, brews nice, roasts nice.

and last but not least we got

As I have grown older, I have learned that pleasing everybody is impossible, but pissing everybody off is a piece of cake!
