I was thinking of a fixed drum with an auger using the machine's rotisserie?

Hmmm?

Maybe, if you used a variac? edited: I'll bet there's a circuit that could be disabled and a temp controller/SSR substituted?

I can just see a Cuisinart distributor getting a bunch of these in for warranty work with the inside coated with coffee soot. ::)

You would have to come up with a stationary drum with an auger mounted in the middle to spin off of the 'rotisserie' spit attachment.

Isn't that what I said? ??? But I like your thinking!

Amazon.com has these for $161.79, with free S&H. I'll probably get one next week and start playing with it.

These remind me of the shawarma stands in Saudi Arabia - good eats!
