Bunn User's Group (BUG) annual owners convention

David Mankin & Tex comparing notes on Tex's machine. The coffee was good, the topic of conversation predictable, and dinner at Thai Cottage in Pearland was great!

So Robert ... I take it that the ES-1A was in fine form to give Mr. Mankin the espresso shot you were aiming for?

It was pretty good coffee - IMV @6 days old. We roasted 1.5 lbs IMV/Santos blend using the Sonofresco. David took a pound of that home to try on some guests he's having over this weekend.

He must have liked it then if he took home a pound of it to serve to his guests.

I didn't know that there was a dress code of a red shirt and beard in order to attend.   ;D

That speaks well for you Robert ... people feel so comfortable around you that they help themselves as if they are at home.

We did go out to dinner and David wanted to know if the offer I made Milio was still on the table: Obtain the antique Atomic moka pot for me in exchange for the Sonofresco?

He was drooling over the roaster so much that I think I'll toss it in the back of the car the next time I visit the D.C. area. It seems like a fair trade for the custom T-shirt he had made at great expense. He did say he'd toss in his UFO/CO, but I aleady have one, and he might need a backup for the Sonofresco at some point.

Let me get this straight ... you are giving Milowebailey's the Sonofresco for a custom t-shirt?

I think you might have been overserved...I don't live in D.C. And ok I'll trade ya for a GCBC t-shirt, heck I'll even throw in an extra one for Mrs. T

What a wonderful time in Pearland!!!  I'm clearing a space already for the roaster, and the Toyota you gave me got great mileage on the way home... made it in just a few hours too - fast little Camry.     ;)
